Diesel Worth Hike Alert: The worth of diesel in Karnataka is about to rise by Rs 2 per liter because the state authorities has elevated the gross sales tax on diesel to 21.17 per cent. For buildings from 3,000 sq ft to 4,000 sq ft of space, a month-to-month rubbish cess of Rs 200 will likely be collected, whereas Rs 400 will likely be collected per thirty days for buildings with above 4000 sq ft of space.

The rubbish cess will likely be collected annnually together with property tax. The BBMP expects to generate round Rs 600 crore yearly via this initiative to spice up its income.

This transfer follows current hikes in milk and electrical energy costs, including one other monetary burden on residents.

On March 27, the Karnataka authorities introduced a Rs 4 per liter improve within the worth of Nandini milk and curd, efficient April 1.
