Adani Airport Holdings ends partnership with Turkish firm Celebi for Mumbai, Ahmedabad airports

Adani Airport Holdings on Thursday stated it has terminated the bottom dealing with concession agreements with Turkish agency Celebi for the Mumbai and Ahmedabad airports.

It additionally stated that Celebi has been directed to instantly hand over to the corporate all floor dealing with amenities to make sure uninterrupted operations.

The choice to terminate these concession agreements was taken after the Union authorities revoked the safety clearance of the Turkish aviation agency.

It stated Adani Airport Holding owns and operates the Mumbai and Ahmedabad airports, in addition to the Mangalore, Guwahati, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Thiruvananthapuram airports.

“Following the federal government of India’s determination to revoke Celebi’s safety clearance, we have now terminated the bottom dealing with concession agreements with Celebi at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Worldwide Airport (CSMIA) and Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Worldwide Airport (SVPIA).

“Accordingly, Celebi has been directed to instantly hand over to us all floor dealing with amenities to make sure uninterrupted operations,” a spokesperson for Adani Airport Holdings stated in a press release.

The corporate stated it should proceed to offer seamless service to all airways with out disruptions by new floor dealing with companies chosen by it.

“All current workers of Celebi at CSMIA and SVPIA might be transferred to the brand new floor dealing with companies on their current phrases and situations of employment,” the corporate stated.

“Floor dealing with operations at our airports will stay unaffected. We’re absolutely dedicated to upholding the best requirements of service and nationwide curiosity,” the spokesperson added.

 Adani Group is reportedly in discussions with international lenders, including Barclays, First Abu Dhabi Bank, and Standard Chartered, to secure up to $750 million in offshore funding for its airport unit.
