The Monetary Providers Establishments Bureau has advisable R Doraiswamy for the place of Chief Govt Officer and Managing Director (CEO & MD) in Life Insurance coverage Company of India (LIC).
Doraiswamy has been a Managing Director at India’s largest life insurer since September 2023.
FSIB stated it interfaced with 4 candidates from LIC on June 11, 2025 for the place of Chief Govt Officer and Managing Director (CEO & MD) within the Company. The 4 candidates are: Doraiswamy, Sat Pal Bhanoo, Dinesh Pant and Ratnakar Patnaik.
“Maintaining in view their efficiency within the interface, their general expertise and the extant parameters, the Bureau recommends Shri R Doraiswamy for the place of CEO & MD in LIC,” the Bureau stated in a press release.
The federal government lately entrusted Bhanoo the monetary and administrative powers and features of the Chief Govt Officer and Managing Director (CEO & MD) of the Company for 3 months with impact from June 08, 2025.
The aforementioned appointment is as much as September 07, 2025 or until assumption of cost of the publish by the common incumbent, or till additional orders, whichever is the earliest, per a Division of Monetary Providers, Ministry of Finance, notification.
Bhanoo has been assigned the monetary and administrative powers and features of CEO & MD of the Company following completion of the time period of Siddhartha Mohanty as CEO & MD.
