Oil prices little changed as US stockpile drop offsets global demand woes By Reuters

TOKYO (Reuters) – Oil costs have been little modified on Thursday after falling within the earlier session as indicators of upper gas demand and falling stockpiles within the U.S., the world’s largest oil consumer, offset issues over demand elsewhere, notably in China.

futures have been up 9 cents, or 0.12%, to $73.55 a barrel, whereas U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude rose 4 cents, or 0.06%, to $69.73 per barrel as of 0058 GMT.

Oil costs slumped over 2% on Wednesday as worries over provide disruptions in Libya eased and demand issues continued regardless of China’s newest stimulus plans. Oil costs initially rose following the stimulus announcement from the world’s largest oil importer.
