Delhi air pollution: PM’s principal secretary flags slow progress in clearing landfill sites

New Delhi, P Ok Mishra, principal secretary to the prime minister, on Friday, expressed concern over the sluggish progress in clearing landfill websites and delays in implementing waste-to-energy initiatives within the nationwide capital. Mishra additionally urged the adoption of a mission-mode strategy to greening central verges of roads and paving/greening pathways and open areas alongside roadsides to scale back mud era.

He careworn the necessity to ramp up mechanised street cleansing, deploy ample numbers of anti-smog weapons, and perform common water sprinkling, notably in high-pollution hotspots and during times beneath the Graded Response Motion Plan (GRAP).
