Senate upholds Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua impeachment

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has been impeached two years after taking the oath of workplace.

Cost 5: Gross Violation of Articles 3 (1) and 148 (5) (a) of the Structure, and, within the fourth cost of Gross Violation of 160 (1) of the Structure, 49 voted YES and 16 NO whereas 2 abstained.

Cost 6: Critical causes to consider that His Excellency Rigathi Gachagua has dedicated crimes beneath sections 13 (1) (a) and 62 of the Nationwide Cohesion and Integration Act, And, within the fourth cost of Gross Violation of 160 (1) of the Structure, 47 voted YES and 18 NO and 1 abstained.

Cost 7: Critical causes to consider that His Excellency Rigathi Gachagua has dedicated crimes beneath sections 45 (1), 46, 47 (a) (3), and 48 (1) of the Anti-Corruption and Financial Crimes Act and sections 2, 3, 4, and seven of Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Cash Laundering Act, And, within the fourth cost of Gross Violation of 160 (1) of the Structure, 13 voted YES and 53 NO with 1 abstaining.

Cost 8: Critical causes to consider that he has dedicated crimes beneath part 132 of the Penal Code and part 29 of the Management and Integrity Act, 27 voted YES and 40 NO.

Cost 9: Gross misconduct (insubordination); 46 voted YES and 20 voted NO, whereas 1 abstained.

Floor 11. Gross misconduct (bullying) 18 voted YES and 47 voted NO whereas 2 abstained.
