Repsol shuts down Bleo Holm FPSO for maintenance

Repsol has shut down the Bleo Holm floating manufacturing, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel for upkeep.

The corporate didn’t verify when the shutdown started or how lengthy it’s going to final for.

In an announcement to Vitality Voice, a Repsol UK spokesperson mentioned: “Repsol UK can verify that we’ve got elected to undertake a upkeep shutdown of our Bleo Holm FPSO facility.

“Throughout this time, we will be endeavor a number of upkeep and engineering actions.”

A spokesperson for the Well being and Security Government (HSE) mentioned: “We word the choice taken by Repsol and can proceed to observe any developments.”

The Bleo Holm FPSO is predicated 72 miles (116km) north east of Aberdeen within the North Sea.

Owned by Bluewater and operated by Repsol, it has been processing oil and fuel from Repsol’s Ross and Blake fields since 1999.

Repsol renewed its constitution on the Bleo Holm FPSO in summer season 2021, operating till 31 December 2024, with an choice for additional one-year extensions.
