EV Infrastructure Provider JET Charge Raises $45 Million – ESG Today

Australia-based JET Cost, which provides and installs chargers for electrical automobiles, has raised AUD $72 million (USD $45 million) in a brand new funding spherical, with proceeds aimed toward supporting its buildout of EV charging infrastructure throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Based by Tim Washington and Ellen Liang in 2012, Melbourne-based JET Cost provides and installs electrical car chargers and infrastructure, together with chargers, cables, and set up companies, to residence and business markets in Australia, with over 20,000 chargers put in so far, and just lately expanded its companies into New Zealand. The corporate operates a “Charging-as-a-Service mannequin,” together with managing and sustaining chargers for houses and business premises.

JET Cost mentioned that it will use the brand new funds speed up its Charging as a Service providing, and to proceed its know-how buildout to for the operation of EV charging infrastrucutre at scale.

Tim Washington, Co-Founder and CEO of JET Cost, mentioned:

“JET Cost was based on the assumption that electrifying transport is essential to attaining a sustainable future. This funding will allow us to construct the scalable, accessible, and dependable infrastructure required to make EVs a sensible alternative for each Australian and New Zealander.”

The funding spherical was led by Mirova, by its Mirova Vitality Transition Fund 6 (MET6), with participation from current shareholders the Clear Vitality Finance Company, RACV and Kilara Capital.

Nicolas Hayon, Funding Director, Head of Mirova Singapore Division, mentioned:

”EV infrastructure is essential to the decarbonization of transportation and internet zero pathway. We’re proud to assist firms like JET Cost, enjoying an instrumental position in creating and accelerating important charging infrastructure throughout Australia and New Zealand.”
