WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Federal Commerce Fee stated on Wednesday it was taking motion towards 5 firms that it stated used synthetic intelligence in misleading and unfair methods.
“Utilizing AI instruments to trick, mislead, or defraud folks is against the law,” stated FTC Chair Lina M. Khan stated in an announcement. “The FTC’s enforcement actions clarify that there isn’t any AI exemption from the legal guidelines on the books.”
