Would you ship your power provider flowers? Write them a poem? And even invite them to your marriage ceremony?!

We’re typically fairly blown away by a few of the cute and kooky methods prospects have proven us love, from tear-jerking gestures to unsolicited canine love. That is proper, we have seen all of it.

To all our prospects this Valentine’s Day, thanks for being one of the best.

Thanks for the marriage invite

Certainly one of our prospects was so gobsmacked with the help they acquired from their power specialist they kindly invited our crew alongside to their marriage ceremony nuptials in Kerala – over 5000 miles away! Whereas we couldn’t jet the entire crew out for the celebration (it might have been a good few jumbo jets) we did ship a bag of Octopus goodies to say a giant thanks for the heartwarming gesture. 🥂

This is to the married couple! 🥂

This is the word they despatched together with the invitation:

Thanks for maintaining a tally of our engineers 😉

Who knew real love might begin with an Octopus van? (No, not at the back of it!)

Hi, I was wondering if you could track your employees vans when they are out around Liverpool. Today, we met one of your staff at McDonald whilst he was charging his van and getting a coffee. I was also wondering if you can find out who this man was, could you possibly pass him my sisters phone number as she would like to get to know him more as they had a great conversation whilst waiting for coffee and seemed to hit it off :) please let me know if this is possible and I will email her number over. Thanks so much Love is in the air (PS. This is not a joke, I'm actually serious on passing her number to him if we can find him)

After recognizing one in all our engineers charging his electrical van, a thriller woman preferred what she noticed and struck up a dialog. Sparks flew. (As should you wanted one more reason to modify to an electrical automobile.)

Tragically, they did not get to trade numbers earlier than he heroically sped off to put in one other sensible meter – so thriller lady’s sister, an Octopus buyer, emailed into our crew to see if we knew who he was. In fact, we did not go on the knowledge – however we hope their stars align once more sooner or later!

Thanks for displaying Constantine some love… in your individual particular manner

Sufficient mentioned.

Thanks for the manga

When proficient manga artist Pipico moved from Tokyo to Hokkaido, her power payments shot up. She discovered Octopus (a smaller firm within the Japanese market!) and gave us a strive as a result of we saved her some yen. She liked us, and our mascot Constantine, a lot she made a manga about it.

We have since turn into pals and Pipico’s made extra within the collection:

A manga comic featuring a girl and a bear discussing Octopus. We've included translations just below!

Do not communicate Japanese? This is the interpretation:

“Ever since switching to Octopus Vitality, we’ve been feeling nice daily.”

“Why is that?”

“As a result of Octopus Vitality makes use of planet-friendly inexperienced power!”

“We have now to consider world warming, however electrical energy is important to our trendy life…”

“That’s precisely why we’re glad we selected Octopus Vitality — higher for us, higher for the planet!”

Thanks for the poems

Yeats, Keats, eat your coronary heart out. Poems like this one about Energy-ups (free electrical energy when your native grid could be very inexperienced) are music to our energy-supplier ears. And this buyer is not the one one who’s written an Ode to Octopus.

One other not too long ago had a surge of inspiration whereas getting their In-Dwelling Show fastened, turning an abnormal tech job into an impromptu poetry recital for our engineer. Maintain the inventive juices flowing!

A photo of a poem written by our customer, reading: Oh, Octopus Energy, you're making quite a splash, With Power-ups, you've got a brilliant, eco-friendly dash. Like sea creatures of wisdom, you harness the tide, Using spare green energy, you take us for a ride. In South East & East England, your plan unfurls, To give us free power when the sun and wind whirls. A clever concept, it truly does amaze, Turning surplus energy into sunny, breezy days. You ask for a smart meter, an Octopus connection, And if you meet these, there's no need for reflection. The ocean of renewables, you navigate with grace, In the right places, you bring a green embrace. Your emails reach out to eligible kin, In this ocean of progress, we all dive in. Power-ups in the pipeline, where there's energy to spare, Oh, Octopus Energy, you're a breath of fresh sea air. We'd love to see you expand, your tentacles grow wide, To more areas and homes, as the tide does bide. So, tell Octopus your wishes, let your voice unfurl, Together, we can power up the whole wide world!

Thanks for the flowers

A buyer referred to as Anthony referred to as us not tremendous joyful in Might 2023. Amber picked up the telephone, fastened his downside, they usually hit it off. They’ve had a month-to-month telephone name since then to examine in on his power account.

Final yr, Anthony despatched her a gorgeous bunch of flowers to mark Hanukkah (coincidentally, she’d additionally despatched him flowers for Christmas on the identical time unplanned)!

The pair have now chatted on the telephone a powerful 41 occasions. Amber even joked: “That may be greater than I’ve spoken to my mum on the telephone!” Sorry mum.
