In my latest submit referred to as “86,” I informed the story about how my father favored to make use of the Military lingo he’d discovered in 1942 when he entered WW II. He defined to my brother and me that it meant to be out of one thing, particularly within the kitchen, e.g., “Sorry, we’re 86 eggs.”
