At left is one other instance of a pattern inside American society that can both:

1) Stay indefinitely, and develop to grow to be an much more vicious drive on our society than it already is, or

2) Retreat to a degree that it has virtually no bearing on our lives.

I’m betting on #2; I feel the dissolution of Trumpism will, by definition, imply a return to sanity and purpose.
