Thor Wind Farm begins powering Danish grid

RWE has introduced that the Thor offshore wind farm, situated off the west coast of Denmark close to Jutland, has began supplying electrical energy to the Danish grid.

The ability is a three way partnership between RWE (51%) and Norges Financial institution Funding Administration (49%).

This milestone of supplying electrical energy was reached shortly after the set up of the primary turbine.

Energinet operates the grid and Danske Commodities supplies route-to-market companies for RWE.

The 1.1GW facility is anticipated to be totally operational by 2027.
