Minister shrugs off protests over Tamannaah’s appointment as Mysore Sandal soap brand ambassador, says would rope in a Hollywood star in years to come

Industries Minister MB Patil on Friday stood agency over the federal government’s determination to nominate fashionable actor Tamannaah Bhatia because the model ambassador for the state-owned Karnataka Soaps & Detergents Ltd’s (KSDL) merchandise together with the flagship Mysore Sandal cleaning soap and defended the transfer as a call influenced by enterprise elements.

The federal government has signed her up for a payment of Rs 6.2 crore for 2 years.

He was responding to media queries after native Kannada teams held protest demonstrations in entrance of the KSDL company workplace in Bengaluru opposing the appointment and demanding {that a} Kannada actor be appointed in her place.
