1.13 crore DWCRA women borrow Rs 47,000 crore from banks during FY25: Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday stated that ladies related to Improvement of Ladies and Kids in Rural Areas teams had borrowed practically Rs 47,000 crore from banks throughout FY25, stressing the necessity to additional strengthen them.

He stated 1.13 crore DWCRA girls had mobilised Rs 26,000 crore and constructed a corpus of Rs 5,200 crore.

“In 2024-25 alone, DWCRA girls borrowed Rs 46,590 crore from banks,” Naidu stated whereas inaugurating Saras Mela-2026 in Guntur, an occasion geared toward offering market linkages for conventional handicrafts, handlooms, and native meals merchandise.

He stated the TDP-led NDA alliance authorities was specializing in each welfare and growth, reiterating its dedication to the aim of a “poverty-free state”.

In the course of the occasion, Naidu handed over cheques value Rs 1,375 crore as loans to DWCRA teams beneath the ‘Stree Nidhi’ scheme and sanctioned Rs 2,171 crore in loans to self-help teams by means of the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP).
