WASHINGTON, D.C. — The American Council on Renewable Vitality (ACORE) issued the next assertion from ACORE President and CEO Ray Lengthy after the Division of the Inside lifted its April 16, 2025, stop-work order that halted offshore development for the Empire Wind 1 mission (15-30 miles south of Lengthy Island):

“That is nice information for the 1,500 employees who can now put their onerous hats again on and end constructing this mission. We applaud President Trump for reversing the stop-work order and permitting the mission to maneuver ahead, and Governor Hochul for working collaboratively with the Administration on this necessary mission. Empire Wind 1 advantages customers, creates jobs, and provides to the reliability of the electrical system.”

“We want an all-of-the-above power technique – that features all power applied sciences – to satisfy rising demand and guarantee American power dominance.  Lifting the stop-work order respects that this mission is absolutely permitted, capitalized, and beneath development, delivering new infrastructure to satisfy rising electrical energy demand. The Trump administration’s method of decreasing pointless authorities red-tape and bureaucratic processes which have traditionally hampered infrastructure growth is desperately wanted to create American jobs and guarantee power dominance.”
