Strait of Hormuz closed over ceasefire violations, says Iran

Iran’s high army command has mentioned it is going to shut the Strait of Hormuz in response to alleged violations of the ceasefire settlement although President Trump threatened to impose a toll if the stretch of water is closed off.

The Iranian management mentioned the essential transport passage will likely be closed to vessel visitors because the “first response” to alleged breaches of the deal, Reuters has reported. 

The army command mentioned the closure is available in response to Israel’s continued assaults in southern Lebanon, in line with Iran’s semi-official Tasnim information company.

In response to Iran’s closure, President Trump threatened to impose a toll on ships passing by way of the Strait.
