One of many important benefits of Israeli protection industries in India typically, and of IAI particularly, is the early integration of their actions to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Make in India coverage. As a part of this, in March 2024, IAI established Indian subsidiary ASI. The corporate was based as a part of a collaboration between IAI, the Israeli Ministry of Protection Analysis and Growth Group (DRDO) (MAFAT), the Indian authorities’s protection analysis and improvement company, to develop and help merchandise manufactured for the Indian armed forces.

ASI has 50 staff, 97% of whom are Indian residents. The corporate’s workplaces are in Delhi, with branches all through the subcontinent. The Indian subsidiary conducts transactions within the native foreign money, the rupee, and is the one firm dealing in MR-SAM – a complicated system that gives safety in opposition to quite a lot of aerial threats and is utilized by the Indian Military, Air Pressure, and Navy. The system features a phased array radar, a command and management system, cellular launchers, and interceptors outfitted with a complicated radio frequency sensor.
