India Post rolls out ‘My Stamp’ in honour of Nippo batteries founder P Obul Reddy

India Submit has launched a customized commemorative ‘My Stamp’ honouring the delivery centenary of industrialist and Nippo Batteries founder Pottipatti Obul Reddy.  

The stamp was unveiled by Manoj M., IPoS, Director of Postal Companies, Chennai, within the presence of  Prathap C Reddy, Founder & Chairman, Apollo Hospitals Group, throughout a particular centenary celebration in Chennai. 

Legacy

Obul Reddy was behind the Indo-Japanese collaboration with Matsushita (Panasonic) in 1972, main to the founding of Indo Nationwide Ltd (Nippo Batteries). 

Underneath his management, Nippo  turned the nation’s second-largest dry-cell producer, producing almost 800 million batteries yearly.  

“P Obul Reddy’s work at Indo Nationwide confirmed the nation what Indian enterprise might obtain when integrity and goal paved the way, and his philanthropy and patronage of Carnatic music mirrored a life dedicated to giving again. This centenary is just not solely a remembrance, however a renewed name to dwell by the values he so fantastically embodied,” mentioned Prathap C Reddy.  

The ‘My Stamp’ launch was a part of the year-long centenary celebrations honouring Reddy’s legacy throughout trade, social growth, and the humanities.
