Bangkok, Thailand – Amid the global COVID-19 lockdowns, AVS Solar Dynamic Limited leveraged digital platforms to raise public awareness about renewable energy and sustainability through a series of online webinars. This proactive initiative successfully captured the attention of the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) of Thailand, the state enterprise responsible for electricity production, transmission, and distribution across the country. As a result, AVS is now engaged in discussions to collaborate with PEA on supporting and advancing their renewable energy initiatives.

The COVID-19 pandemic presented unprecedented challenges, restricting physical interactions and slowing down many industries. Recognizing the importance of continuing the dialogue on sustainable energy, AVS transitioned to virtual platforms to host webinars focused on renewable energy solutions, environmental sustainability, and the future of the energy sector.

Raising Public Awareness and Engagement

The online webinars attracted a diverse audience, including industry professionals, academics, policymakers, and the general public. Topics covered included advancements in solar technology, the benefits of floating solar installations, and strategies for integrating renewable energy into existing power grids. The interactive sessions facilitated knowledge sharing and encouraged participants to consider the pivotal role of renewable energy in economic recovery and environmental conservation.

Attracting the Attention of PEA Thailand

The Provincial Electricity Authority of Thailand took notice of AVS’s efforts and the substantial public interest generated by the webinars. Recognizing the company’s expertise in renewable energy, PEA expressed interest in exploring potential collaboration opportunities to enhance Thailand’s renewable energy infrastructure.

Initiating Collaborative Discussions

AVS and PEA are now in preliminary talks to establish a partnership aimed at supporting and advancing renewable energy initiatives within Thailand. The collaboration would focus on:

  • Technical Expertise: Sharing knowledge and best practices in solar energy deployment, including land-based and floating solar technologies.
  • Project Development: Identifying and developing renewable energy projects that align with Thailand’s national energy strategy and sustainability goals.
  • Capacity Building: Conducting training programs and workshops to enhance the skills of PEA personnel and local stakeholders in renewable energy technologies.

Mr.Sompong PREEPREM, former PEA governor stated: “The Provincial Electricity Authority is dedicated to expanding Thailand’s renewable energy capacity. AVS Solar Dynamic Limited’s proactive approach and innovative solutions have impressed us, and we look forward to exploring collaborative opportunities. Together, we can accelerate the integration of renewable energy into our grid and promote sustainability for the benefit of all Thais.”

Continuing Commitment to Sustainability

This initiative reflects AVS’s adaptability and dedication to promoting renewable energy, even in the face of global challenges. By utilizing digital platforms, the company continues to engage with stakeholders, foster partnerships, and contribute to global efforts to combat climate change.

Rashid bin Saeed, Founder and CEO of AVS, commented: “Our engagement with the Provincial Electricity Authority of Thailand represents a significant opportunity to contribute to the country’s renewable energy landscape. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, we are committed to fostering collaboration and sharing our expertise to support sustainable development. We are excited about the prospect of working closely with PEA to advance Thailand’s renewable energy initiatives.”

The discussions with PEA Thailand signify a potential expansion of AVS’s presence in Southeast Asia. A successful collaboration could lead to significant developments in Thailand’s renewable energy sector, including the implementation of innovative solar projects and the enhancement of the country’s energy sustainability.
