The Justice Division has closed its antitrust investigation into the proposed $110 billion merger of Paramount and Warner Brothers Discovery, saying that it has discovered no risk to competitors or shoppers of movie, broadcast tv or streaming.
The choice paves the best way for a merger of two historic studio rivals — Paramount, proprietor of CBS, and the a lot bigger Warner, which incorporates HBO and CNN.
