Pittsburgh Airport to Develop 1st On-Site SAF Plant in US

Avina Artificial Aviation Gas (Avina), a cheap clear fuels developer, in partnership with the Pittsburgh Worldwide Airport (PIT), will develop the US’s first on-site sustainable aviation gasoline (SAF) manufacturing facility.

The plant will make use of an alcohol-to-jet course of, which turns alcohol into jet gasoline, a first-of-its-kind methodology used within the US. Extra particularly, the PureSAF™ know-how developed by Swedish Biofuels AB and licensed globally by KBR will convert alcohol from renewable sources into jet fuels that meet business requirements.
