La Maison Simons
opened its first Toronto location in Yorkdale Purchasing Centre Thursday, and chief government Bernard Leblanc talks with the Monetary Publish’s Larysa Harapyn about how the corporate is bullish regardless of the financial headwinds going through retail.
The 185-year-old Quebec retailer was capable of transfer into Yorkdale and a second location within the Eaton Centre this fall as a result of U.S. division retailer
Nordstrom Inc
left Canada, saying it had been too arduous to make a revenue available in the market.
Simons will spend a mixed $100 million on the 2 Toronto shops and Leblanc expects them to extend the corporate’s annual gross sales by 15 per cent.
