ECONOMYNEXT – The Colombo Inventory Trade closed up on Thursday, knowledge on its web site confirmed.
The ASPI closed up 0.91 %, or 189.84 factors, at 20,965; whereas the S&P SL20 closed up 1.16percent, or 68.30 factors, at 5,971.
Market turnover was 6.86 billion rupees.
Most of this got here from trades in capital items (Rs1bn), banks (Rs1.18bn) and diversified financials (Rs1.66bn) shares.
Prime contributors to the All Share Worth Index have been Nations Belief Financial institution (up 20.25 rupees at 298.75), DFCC Financial institution (up 6 rupees at 161.75), John Keells Holdings (up 50 cents at 22.50), Singer (up 3.80 rupees at 82.50), and Melstacorp (up 2 rupees at 159.50).
First Capital Treasuries declared a dividend of 5 rupees per voting share; the inventory closed up 8.60 rupees at 37.10.
Acme Printing and Packaging, which introduced a rights of problem of six to 1 closed flat at 7.10 rupees.
