Kimberly-Clark to Reach 100% Renewable Energy at Kleenex Manufacturing Site – ESG Today

Shopper manufacturers firm Kimberly-Clark introduced that its manufacturing facility in Koblenz, Germany is on monitor to maneuver to 100% renewable vitality by 2029, making it the corporate’s first tissue manufacturing website worldwide to realize that aim.

In keeping with Kimberly-Clark, the achievement will assist its aim to scale back its Scope 1 and a pair of emissions by 50% by 2030. The corporate stated that the transition is being supported by a Carbon Contract for Distinction Award from the German Authorities, a monetary mechanism aimed toward accelerating the transition away from fossil fuels.
