Neot Raises $390 Million to Launch New Sustainable Mobility Financing Platform – ESG Today

Low carbon mobility-focused finance and funding agency Neot Capital introduced the launch of Neot e-motion, a brand new leasing platform devoted to zero-emission mobility in Europe. The brand new platform is being launched with €350 million (USD$394 million) in fairness commitments from buyers together with Alba Infra Companions, Mirova, and the Banque des Territoires.

Based in 2016, Paris-based Neot develops and manages funding platforms devoted to low-carbon mobility initiatives following a mannequin of enabling the financing of bold infrastructure initiatives led by public authorities and transport operators by eradicating limitations associated to CapEx and expertise danger. The agency launched its flagship platform Neot Inexperienced Mobility (NGM), additionally with the assist of Alba, Mirova and Banque des Territoires, which invests in automobiles, charging stations, and batteries for automobiles, after which leases them to move operators. and has financed over €350 million in mobility property and raised €170 million in debt to assist its growth, primarily in France, the UK, and Scandinavia.

Neot is owned by Forsee Energy, Mitsui & Co., Ltd., and EDF, through its company enterprise arm, EDF Pulse Ventures.

Following the mannequin of Neot Inexperienced Mobility, the brand new Neot e-mission platform will provide tailored “as-a-service” financing options for low-carbon transport – together with buses, coaches, vans, boats, and charging infrastructure – on behalf of public authorities and transport operators, with Alba and Mirova targeted on financing initiatives on the European stage and past by way of Neot e-motion, and Banque des Territoires concentrating on the French market, by way of Neot e-motion France, a subsidiary of Neot e-motion.
